Concert Artist: Qin Cong, Tenor

Qin Cong, formerly a tenor at the Shanghai Opera House.   His operatic roles include Minister Pang in Turandot, Prince Idamante in Idomeneo, the landlord Sir John Falstaff in The Merry Wives of Windsor, and the magician in The Consul, etc. He has participated in many master classes held by world-renowned artists, including bass Sir John Tomlinson, BBC Cardiff Singer of the World competition judge Julius Drake, and famous British tenor James Gilchrist. During his stay in the UK, he has frequently performed as a soloist in large-scale cultural performances, such as the “66th Anniversary National Day Gala of China, ” the “Shining Britannia” Chinese New Year Gala in the UK, and the “Consulate General of Manchester Chinese New Year Gala.   He obtained his Master Degree at Royal Northern College of Music in 2016 and is the Doctoral Candidate from the University of Kansas, US
